India's highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna has been a long time wish for mega fans. Considering his potentiality both as a trendsetting Megastar and as a philanthropist, Chiranjeevi deserves to receive the honour.

However, Chiranjeevi, as of now, received India's third biggest civilian award Padma Bhushan. It must be recollected two other all time biggest superstars of Bollywood and Kollywood, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth received India's second biggest civilian award Padma Vibhushan.

Why shouldn't Chiranjeevi be adjudged with the Padma Vibhushan when the superstars of his stature Amitabh and Rajini received the same honour by the Government of India? It must also be recalled that both Big B and Rajini were honoured with the film industry's prestigious award Dada Saheb Phalke.

Perhaps, following factors might be the reason for Chiranjeevi being evaded by the centre for presenting Bharat Ratna or Padma Viibhushan.

* Chiranjeevi, hitherto, worked as an MP and union minister from the Congress party. Obviously, the BJP could find it a point to keep Chiranjeevi away from conferring India's highest civilian awards.

* Previously, the BJP high command in Delhi tried to pull Chiranjeevi to politics again. The Megastar received juicy offers like BJP's state president, central cabinet minister post etc. Even then, Chiranjeevi rejected the BJP's offer and kept on sticking to work for the films.

* Some jealous people of top ranks might have created obstacles Chiranjeevi receiving Padma Vibhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke awards.

BOTTOM-LINE: Modi led union government still has an opportunity to be honoured itself for announcing India's biggest awards to Chiranjeevi. Let's wait for next Republic Day.
