Review 2021: Hits of Tollywood

Following is a brief analysis on hit films of Tollywood. 

BLOCKBUSTERS

PUSHPA: Having collected Rs.110+ crores theatrical share in its first week run, the movie stood as the biggest grosser in 2021. Excluding Andhra Pradesh, the movie stood as the blockbuster and brought Allu Arjun to 'Pan India Star' image with phenomenal success in North India and the Rest of India. The movie's status in AP cannot be taken into consideration owing to the special circumstances prevailing over there. 

AKHANDA: Akhanda minted Rs.63+ crore world wide share till now. This is the biggest grossing film among Balakrishna's films. 

UPPENA: This film stands as the sensational blockbuster of the year. Mega hero Vaishnav Tej and fascinating beauty Kriti Shetty enthralled the audience with their wonderful chemistry. The film is also carrying out record TRPs on the small screen as well. Meanwhile, Uppena collected the total box office share Rs.52 crore worldwide. A stunning feat by the debut mega hero!

JATHI RATNALU: This is yet another blockbuster among small budget films. Naveen Polishetty turned as a promising young hero with this film. The film is learnt to have collected close to Rs.38 crore share.

SUPER HITS

VAKEEL SAAB: Power Star Pawan Kalyan exhibited his Midas Touch with an intense performance as Vakeel Saab. This comeback film of Pawan Kalyan collected around Rs.100 crore share and stood as a super hit at the box office. Also, the film has become the second biggest grosser of the year. Had the AP CM not created unnecessary obstacles and the covid hadn't spread, the film could have minted more than Rs.150 crore share in its full run. 

KRACK: Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja bounced back with this super hit mass entertainer. This Gopichand Malineni's directorial venture minted close to Rs.35 crore share worldwide.

SEETIMAAR: Gopichand's Seetimaar stands as one of the super hits of the year with Rs.15+ crore world wide share.

SHYAM SINGHAROY: Natural Star Nani's Shyam Singharoy was released recently and received positive talk everywhere. It's too early to predict the result of the film. Yet, the film has fair chances to stand as a super hit at the ticket window.

HITS: Prashant Varma's Zombie Reddy, Sai tej Republic and Allari Naresh's Naandhi scored hits. 

ABOVE AVERAGES: Hero Srikanth's son Roshan Meka's Pelli SandaD and Naga Chaitanya's Love Story turned out to be above average ventures at the box office.
