Chai-Sam divorce speculation: Is this the reason

Rumours are spreading thick and fast that Tollywood most romantic and exciting couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are headed for a divorce. Though Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are tightlipped over the entire issue their actions on social media are sending conflicting signals confusing all Akkineni fans and movie lovers.

While rumours are coming that all is well between them and Chai-Sams will soon star in a web series to silence the critics, others say even counselling did not work and they have applied for divorce on mutual consent and once they get a green signal from the court, they will make an official announcement.

Now speculation is on as to what could be the reason behind misunderstanding and mistrust between Samantha and Naga Chaitanya. It is known that Samantha became a star with her hard work coming from a middle-class family. Akkineni family asked Samantha not to star in films after marriage. Samantha did not care about those restrictions and started starring in films and what more, she even shocked them by participating in hot photoshoots.

Akkineni family did not like it and they tried to persuade Samantha not to do so. But with their efforts not bringing any results, they became angry with Samantha. Samantha set aside all the Akkineni family's persuasions of family prestige etc to star in the Family Man 2 and shocking all with the bold role. This drove a wedge between Samantha and Naga Chaitanya and from then on they decided to part ways.

Samantha is in no way keen to forgo the profession which brought her so much name and fame and this increased the differences. Samantha who believed that Akkineni background is not behind her popularity removed it from her name and this increased the trigger point.

After the mutual divorce application, The Family Court gave many counselling sessions to Naga Chaitanya and Samantha but both decided to part ways. The divorce process will be completed in another 2-3 months. Inside talk is Akkineni family decided to give Rs 50crs as alimony to Samantha in form of property and cash.
