In the wake of the controversy between the warring factions who are keen to contest the elections of the Movie Artistes Association (Maa), it seems the date for the elections has been locked.
It is known that the Annual General Body of Maa met a couple of days back and sought the views of all the members. During that time most of the members and even the outgoing president VK.Naresh felt only early elections will cool the tempers and solve the problems.
As such it is coming out that the Maa elections will be held on October 10. Sparks flew with the entry of Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu as the candidates for the Maa president post. The subsequent developments stunned all with the entry of other candidates like Hema, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, CVL.Narasimha Rao and Kadambari Kiran into the fray.
Chiranjeevi sent a letter in which he lamented that the developments following the end of the current panel's tenure and the stalling of the developmental activities pained him. Now that the senior members met under the leadership of Krishnam Raju and reports of upcoming Maa elections on October 10, more clarity will come about who will take whom in the coming days.
