Kakinada city, which is considered the 'Pensioners Paradise', has emerged as the pride of Telugu states with its remarkable achievement. Kakinada has now stood at the 4h place among the top Indian cities of 10 lakh below population category on the union government's 'Ease of Living (EOL) Index, 2020.
Shimla, Bhubaneswar and Silwassa stood at top three places in this category.
On the other side, Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Surat, Navi Mumbai, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Indore and Greater Mumbai have stood at top ten places among the cities of 'Population More Than One Million' category. Vizag occupied 15th slot while Vijayawada city landed at 41st place in this category.
Well, Kakinadians must be proud of various reasons for their city being declared the fourth best city of India in Ease of Living category. People, herein, love peace and harmony. The widened roads and the city's architecture indicates its a planned city. Kakinada is one of the best cities among the port cities of India as well.
In the meanwhile, Kakinada had been selected one among the union government's 100 smart cities scheme a couple of years ago. A total of 1993 crore have been flooded to develop Kakinada a smart city under 'Smart City Mission'.
