Venky Kudumula On Trolls

Venky Kudumula has been at the receiving end from trolls after he was duped of Rs 63,000 by online fraudsters. He was conned stating that his film Bheeshma has been selected for National Awards by one Naveen and asked him to pay the required processing fee.

Since then, netizens have been having field day on Venky Kudumula for getting conned easily and not knowing that being a director it is the producer who pays the processing fee. They also questioned him that how can he be so gullible at times like these. The filmmaker has now reacted on trolls by issuing an open statement. He captioned his tweet, “A lot has been said about the issue I have faced recently. This is my side of the story... The Actual Story..”

His Twitter statement reads, “I’ve been receiving a lot of calls, besides being witness to a number of speculations, over a police complaint that I had raised a couple of days ago. Maybe I was ‘easy bait’ but haven’t we all been there?”

He continues, “Many friends suggested I should not file a complaint and asked me to keep quiet. But should I? No. I went ahead and filed a complaint just to make sure that faudsters don’t repeat this with anyone else from our industry or anyone outside as well".
