Cyber Criminals Cheat Venky

Director Venky Kudumula delivered two back to back blockbusters with his first two films Chalo and Bheeshma and he will next be teaming up with hero Ram. In the meantime, cyber criminals cheated Venky Kudumula by assuring him to nominate his film Bheeshma in an International Film Festival.

Believing their words, Venky Kudumula deposited Rs 66 thousands into their account. However, after he found that, he was cheated, Venky approached City cybercrime ACP KVM Prasad and a case has been filed.

As per reports, Venky Kudumula got a call from an anonymous person who informed him that his film Bheeshma got nominated in 6 categories in an upcoming International Film Festival. He said he’s one of the key members of the panel and asked to pay Rs 11000 for every nomination as a processing fee.

However, Venky Kudumula doubted when he got another call from the person asking to pay another amount. Cybercrime officials are investigating the case based on the phone number and account details of the cyber criminals.
