Television actor Aakanksha Singh made quite an assured debut in her first Telugu film Malli Raava alongside Sumanth. The success of the film gave her a strong foothold in the industry, earning her offers like Devadas and the multi-lingual Pailwaan opposite Nagarjuna and Kiccha Sudeep respectively. She has an exciting lineup of projects ahead including the bilingual with Aadhi Pinisetty - Clap, a couple of web shows besides a Bollywood film Mayday alongside Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan.

In an Instagram live session held on Wednesday, the actress shared interesting details about her career and upcoming projects. “There are some films where you expect something out of the role but the result is something else. Devadas was one such experience. You can’t singularly point a finger towards someone for it; it’s how the profession works, you take up a few things for the team and the experience,” she shared.

Aakanksha is playing a hockey player in Aadhi’s sports drama, Clap, which she tells is a sports film, unlike anything that the audiences have seen before. “Prithvi, the director, gave me the best role in the film. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I am excited about dubbing in Telugu for the first time. I’ve had a great time shooting with Aadhi Pinisetty, he’s so chilled out. We’ve also worked together on a web show, I was very comfortable working with him,” she said.  The actress even received a hand-written letter from Amitabh Bachchan for her performance in Mayday. She’s currently shooting for a web show with Arka Media, the producers of Baahubali.
