Telugu film industry has always embraced talent from various corners of the country regardless of regional and language barriers. Heroines from other states have constantly acknowledged that they are treated with respect here. Varalakshmi too joins this list, while conveying her respect for Tollywood and the love that Telugu people have showered on her, even if she’s only three-films old in the industry.
In a promotional event for Naandhi held a few days ago, she said, “I don’t know if I must tell this. I’ve been in the Tamil industry for 9 years and I’ve never gotten this respect and love for my work ever. This feels extremely gratifying. Radhika garu had told me to do Telugu films quite early in my career and that the industry will treat you like a princess. I now understand why she was so right.”
Allari Naresh was equally emotional during the event while talking about tasting success after 8 years, to which the actress responded, “I completely understand why Naresh was so moved by the response to Naandhi. Hits and flops may come and go but what you strive for, is an acknowledgement of your work. This is what I and Naresh have experienced all over again with the film.” Varalakshmi Sarathkumar had watched Naandhi at a private screening with family and friends recently in Chennai..
