Raj Tarun looks to reinvent himself

Actor Raj Tarun, who started his career with a bang with three consecutive hits – Uyyala Jampala, Cinema Choopista Mava and Kumari 21F – hasn’t tasted a similar range of success in his later films though. Blame it on the poor choice of films or repetitiveness in his acting, the young actor hasn’t had a project that could push his career to greater heights.

Perhaps, this is why he’s looking to change gears for his two ongoing projects – one with Vijay Kumar Konda and the other with a debutant Santosh Mohan Veeranki. Raj Tarun’s earlier collaboration with Vijay Kumar Konda, Orey Bujjiga, was a regular comedy fare, but this time they are coming together for a thriller that’s been shot on a tight budget in a very few days. The dubbing for the film has already begun. It’ll be interesting to see the actor in an avatar that marks a major departure from his regular outings.

His film with Santosh Mohan, where he’s cast opposite Chusi Chudangane, Middle Class Melodies actress Varsha Bollamma has already completed a schedule and there are two more schedules before the film wraps up. “The director and the actor share a similar taste in cinema and have bonded well on and off sets. The film will present Raj Tarun in a newer light,” a source tells us.  Raj Tarun is a great talent for sure, but one hopes he reinvents himself to stay in the industry for the long run.
