Nearly every actor in the tinsel town has a YouTube channel of their own and is using the digital space to throw light on those dimensions in their life that not many discuss or know about. Rakul Preet Singh, who has consistently proclaimed herself as a fitness enthusiast, has now launched a video series ‘What the Food’ on her YouTube channel earlier this Wednesday. The first episode of the series, lasting six minutes, has Rakul conversing with celebrity nutritionist Rashi Chowdhary.
The episode takes a funny jibe at the health-conscious lot that’s overly concerned about carbs, eating white rice at different times of the day, fearing sudden weight gain. The video begins with Rakul talking to her maid about the number of grams of rice and vegetables she needs to use for her next meal. If one remembers, in a recent talk show Sam Jam, Rakul has mentioned about being extremely calorie-conscious and that she counts the calories in her meal every day.
The focus in the episode later shifts to her conversation with the nutritionist where Rakul talks of her fascination for Chana-dal rice cooked by her grandma (who lives in the outskirts of Punjab). She also mentions her liking for white rice with a smattering of ghee and small portions of jaggery (which she calls a cheat meal). All in all, she advises that the timing of food consumption is key to being fit and healthy, while the occasional cheat meal wouldn't do any harm. A week ago, the actress had also posted a video about her COVID-19 recovery which trended well on social media.
On the acting front, Rakul Preet is awaiting the release of Check in Telugu, besides a handful of Hindi films alongside top actors like Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana.
