Noted Cine Lyricist Vennelakanti No More

Renowned cine lyricist Vennelakanti Rajeswara Prasad aka Vennelakanti passed away on Tuesday, 5th of January in Hyderabad due to cardiac arrest. He earned enormous fame as dubbing films script writer. Besides, he penned a big number of songs for Telugu and Tamil films.

Vennelakanti, who was born on 30 November, 1957, became popular with Muralikrishnudu released in 1988.

Aditya 369, Gharana Alludu, Criminal, Samarasimha Reddy and Penguin are some of his notable works. He also did script work for popular dubbed films such as Dasavataaram, Pothuraju and Premakhaidi.

Vennelakanti's sudden demise is a great loss for Telugu film industry. Condolences to the members of his family. May his soul rest in peace!
