Mahesh Babu Was Cast As He’s Son Of Krishna

Movie lovers cannot forget the action-packed entertainer Okkadu directed by Gunasekhar which powered Mahesh Babu as the superstar. Producer MS Raju who recently came up with his directorial venture Dirty Hari which hit the OTT platform speaking to scribes shared startling facts about Okkadu.

He said, "During those times many rumours spread that Okkadu was planned with other heroes but we were forced upon Mahesh Babu. There was no truth in such rumours. We planned Okkadu keeping Mahesh Babu in mind. Director Gunasekhar penned the story keeping Mahesh Babu in mind and during the shooting itself we were confident that the film would be a super hit."

MS Raju continued saying, "We had cast Mahesh Babu as he was the son of Superstar Krishna and we felt viewers will not get a kick with newcomers. I felt as if Krishna was doing the Kondareddy Buruju scene. We spent lavishly and the Charminar set erected at Ramanaidu studios got collapsed forcing us to erect again."

Mahesh Babu who’s riding high with the success of Sarileru Neekevvaru will soon begin the shoot of Sarkaru Vaari Paata under the direction of Parasuram.
