When coronavirus struck and turned the lives of many film workers' upside down, Megastar Chiranjeevi created the Corona Crisis Charity fund and raised funds to help them all. All the stars donated generously and the organizers started giving essential items to the poor and needy.
When everything is going on smoothly, controversy erupted over coronavirus donations and the way the essential items are being distributed. Many who came to receive the essential items at Indiranagar, Jubilee Hills, protested alleging that only a few are getting the benefits of the CCC donations.
It is known that in the beginning the essential items would be distributed directly to the workers. Later they decided that the second round of distribution would be done through workers union. Then, the organizers changed their voice and told that they cannot distribute the essential items to everyone but only to select few.
Union leaders are in a dilemma as to what to do and members of the Telugu Cine TV Production Assistants Union, Telugu Lightmen Union, Telugu Cine Studio Workers Union surrounded the officers and protested in front of them.
They said they have been facing problems with no shootings for the last three months. The members cooled down after the organizers told them that they would take the matter to Chiranjeevi and solve the issue.
