Official: Reopening Dates for Colleges out

Bringing down the curtains on various speculations floating around, the University Grants Commission, on Wednesday, released the academic calendar for 2020-2021 mentioning the reopening dates of universities and colleges, the examination schedules and the new guidelines for the teaching faculty. 

According to the Ugc calendar, the regular classes for the new students of B.Tech and other degree courses would be started from September 1 while the classes for the old students are scheduled from 1st of August. 

On the other hand, the End Sem examinations for the old students will be held in the month of July. For new students, admission process is dedicated to the month of August. 

All the teachers at university level must be trained at ICT and should prepare e-content to ensure online teaching mode. About 25% syllabus will be covered through online mode while the rest 75% is going to be a face to face mode of teaching. 

Virtual laboratories and digital resources must be available at all colleges and universities.
