Telangana Less Corona Cases Due to Less Tests?

In light of huge spike in corona positive cases, everyday, in the state, Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy faced a backlash from critics and opposite political parties. Everyday, 70 to 80 new corona positive cases are being reported by the health ministry that took total tally clocked at 1332 so far. 

Telangana CM KCR, in a mere contrast, is lauded by everyone for containing corona effectively. For the past couple of days, single digit number of cases have been reported by the Telangana health ministry. As of now, 1009 corona positive cases have been recorded. 

But then, can we say KCR a grand success and Jagan a total failure? 

No way! It all depends on number tests conducted to the individuals. Right from the beginning itself, AP CM showed more interest pertaining to the number of tests to the individuals. Eventually, the AP state emerged number one in the country with 88,081 samples have been tested so far. Automatically, there is a spike in number of positive cases though. 

And did you know the number of tests conducted in Telangana? The number stands at just 19,063. Don't know how many more cases would have been traced had number of cases shot up on par with AP's corona tests. Moreover, TS government isn't punctual to disclose the statistical data daily on time.

However, TRS activists made it clear that the government has all the data where corona spread and where it is not found in the entire state. "As such, there is no need to conduct tests unnecessarily to all the people," an observer said. 

By and large, TRS is advised to be fair in disclosing the numbers regularly without giving any scope of manipulations.
