Sensible Director's Shocking Allegations

Sensible director Deva Katta captured the imagination of all with the thought-provoking films like Prasthanam. However, his film Auto Nagar Surya with Naga Chaitanya created a cyclone in his career. The film was completed only after three years and he overcame a lot of hurdles during the making stage and with great difficulty ensured the film's release in the theatres.

The film failed to live up to the expectations and more than that his precious time got wasted. After that film, he couldn't come out of it as a lot of gaps came in his career. His next film Dynamite with Manchu Vishnu also did not do well. Even his Bollywood debut, Prasthanam remake with Sanjay Dutt bombed at the box office. Currently, he is doing a political thriller with Supreme Hero Sai Tej.

Deva Katta expressed anger and held the producers of Auto Nagar Surya responsible for his present state. Though he did not name them, he said he was cheated by a gang of thieves. He said only Vennela and Prasthanam happened under his own supervision right from the start to finish and later all his films went out of his hands.

RR Movie Makers produced this film. The banner which once attained success suddenly plunged into a financial crisis. Even Nagarjuna's film Damarukam release got delayed in the same manner. It is known that after Auto Nagar Surya, the banner got closed.
