Charity: Don't Compare Prabhas with SSR!

Having made Baahubali series films biggest grossers at the Indian film history, Rajamouli emerged India's numero uno director at the moment. Even before he kickstarted Baahubali project, he attained the status of number one director of Tollywood with Magadheera industry hit. And now, his upcoming film RRR's pre release theatrical business is valued to the closing theatricals of Baahubali 2 that proved SSR's unprecedented craze, expertise and prowess in his profession. 

All media houses and movie lovers gave the credit of Baahubali series successes to Rajamouli. Banking on the successes of Baahubali films, Young Rebel Star Prabhas is trying hard to prove himself the pan Indian star. Fortunately, banking on Baahubali craze, Prabhas's latest offing Saaho was sold out to exorbitant prices. But then, the film was misfired everywhere except in Hindi belt. On the other hand, some movie buffs are challenging Prabhas's next to beat Saaho collections in Hindi belt as the film doesn't enjoy Baahubali backdrop. 

As is known, Prabhas donated Rs.4 crore for PMRF and CMRFs and Rs.50 lakh more to CCC Manakosam. Citing Prabhas's donation, some critics put a strange demand to Rajamouli to donate a huge sum. Though Rajamouli pledged to donate masks and other accessories to the health staff, critics made unnecessary comparisons with the huge sum pledged by Prabhas. To sum up, these critics are assessing the status of celebs with the donations they pledged to fight against coronavirus. 

Meanwhile, some critics of Prabhas are alleging that Prabhas's pedananna Krishnam Raju is seriously trying for governor post and that's why he donated huge sum to PMRF through Prabhas. Some more critics are questioning why Prabhas donated the money after every big star announced their donations. 

It must be remembered that Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar,who earned thousands of crores through cricket and ads, pledged just Rs.50 lakhs while Akshay Kumar, one of the B grade top heroes, contributed Rs.25 crores. It doesn't mean Akshay's status is far bigger than Sachin.

"Neither Prabhas nor Rajamoulis should be criticiized. De facto, charity should not be put on demand. It's purely one's personal choice. It depends on the personal commitments of the individuals though. There would be innumerable factors behind pledging donations. Whatever the people want to donate, let them do it heartily. They shouldn't be blamed by any means," an analyst advised.
