Once upon a time Indian Media used to report news transparently adopting all the ethics and standards prescribed for them. They were given such a freedom by the governments. Gradually, all those values set by then Media have been disappearing. Right now, most of the national and regional Media houses stooped to abyss developing bias on political parties and are working for the sake of them. According to a survey, India ranks at 136 in world press freedom. The BJP led union government is said to be the reason for national Media shattering their ethics.
An interesting observation was made by Media critics on Indian and US Media and the difference among their standards. When the US president posted a tweet against CNN channel, the channel said, "It's not CNN's job to represent the US to the world. That's yours. Our job is to reports the news".
On the contrary, Indian Media said sorry to union minister Smriti Irani for reporting a news against her. "PTI news, Is this how elected heads will be projected? Is this your official stand?" posted Srmriti on her twitter page.
"PTI apologises for hurting sentiments and therefore has withdrawn the picture," PTI apologised.
