Everything went wrong with three new movies released in this week in the overseas market viz. Raj Tharun’s ‘Kittu Unnadu Jagratha,’ Vijay Devarakonda’s ‘Dwaraka’ and Manoj Manchu’s ‘Gunturodu.’ There were decent promotions for all of them and each of them was promising to offer decent entertainment.
However, NRI Telugu audience seems to be in no mood to watch either of them. Resultantly, three of them opened to disastrous revenues as given below:
Dwaraka - $13K (Including premiers)
Kittu Unnadu Jagratha - $14K (Including premiers)
Gunturodu - $408
Despite there are promotional T-mobile ticket rebates available in the market offering movie tickets at $4, there was no one to buy. Adding fuel to the fire, reviews were also one-sidedly negative. Raj Tharun and Manoj of course haven’t got any market in USA, even Million Dollar Pellichoopulu hero Vijay Devarakonda failed to get a start. That’s the tragedy at US Box Office this week.
