Annamayya Killed Hathiram Baba!

Hathiram Baba and Om Namo Venkatesaya No Match to Annamayya
Hathiram Baba and Om Namo Venkatesaya No Match to Annamayya

‘Annamayya’ is the foremost benchmark set by Nagarjuna and K Raghavendra Rao for devotional films in Tollywood. It would be possible alone for the same combo to repeat a similar magic but that seems to hypothetically impossible with ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ collapsing big time at Box Office failing to recover half of the investment for buyers.

Yes, ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ is now addressed in film circles as miraculous flop which wasn’t speculated by either industry sources or media messengers. Despite opening to positive mouth talk and strong reviews, there was no revival in its Box Office fortunes sinking to further low after the completion of first weekend. As per the trend, ONV business might come to a complete closure after second weekend.

It’s time and enough of monotonous devotional characters from Nagarjuna. Back to back failures in both ‘Shirdi Sai’ and ‘ONV’ alarm him to stop experimenting in this genre. The magical soul and mesmerizing music in ‘Annamayya’ can’t be beaten. All those audiences who expected one more ‘Annamayya’ in ‘ONV’ have spread unsatisfactory negative talk leading to a disastrous result. Definitely, KRR hasn't researched much on Hathiram Baba.
