Review 2016: Disaster of the Year

Tollywood witnessed some shocking disaters this year which caused maximum damage to the buyers and exhibitors of films. Having suffered 52.32% losses with that of its pre release business done, Prince Mahesh's 'Brahmotsavam' emerged as the biggest disaster of the year. 

'Brahmotsavam' did a theatrical pre release business of Rs.72.25 crores and finally collected Rs.34.14 crores of theatrical share. Altogether the film had to get 52.32% of losses. This film was directed by Srikanth Addala on PVP Cinema.

Another big film that scored disaster result was Power Star Pawan Kalyan's 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh'. The movie got its theatrical pre biz done to Rs.80. 24 crores while it fetched Rs.52.92 crores through its theatricals. Eventually, the film suffered 34% of losses.
