Tamil audience made it in their minds that every time when Dhanush comes up with a new movie, it offers something new and innovative within shoestring budget. After ‘Thodari’ that is ‘Rail’ in Telugu, here comes ‘Kodi’ as ‘Dharmya Yogi’ for Telugu audience. Unfortunately, Telugu versions of both the above said films arrived one day late than Tamil versions due to censor problems.
Coming to point, Dhanush enjoyed a surprise sleeper hit in Telugu with ‘Raghuvaran B Tech.’ Despite there were no massive promotional campaigns taken up during those times Dhanush enjoyed an advantage by connecting well with youth audience. Now, ‘Dharma Yogi’ is also traveling on same lines. Apparently, majority audiences aren’t informed about release.
Trade reports say, ‘Dharma Yogi’ flied off to decent openings in Telangana but started weakly in Andhra Pradesh. Neither Dhanush nor Trisha will be showing their faces to Telugu public for their film publicity. Although, a positive word of mouth talk is prevailing with decent reviews posted but how far ‘Dharma Yogi’ can turn out to be one more ‘Raghuvaran B Tech’ for Dhanush is extremely doubtful.
