Till the other day, many of us used to think there are only two big families in Telugu film industry viz. Nandamuri and Mega compound heroes known for beating Self Dabba both on the screen and off the screen. Now, Akkineni Nagarjuna seems to have developed this unwonted fondness of heaping the praises on his Akkineni family reputation; from legendary ANR to Akhil via Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya.
Yesterday released ‘Nirmala Convent’ showed this new itching in Nagarjuna. We do know that this flick introducing Srikanth’s son Roshan as hero opened to disastrous talk everywhere. To make the things more embarrassing, dialogue writing department has done terrible mistakes by forcibly joining the situations providing a scope for supporting characters to worship Akkineni family.
Couple of episodes on Sathya Krishnan with heroine Shriya Sharma and hero Roshan’s friends meeting Nagarjuna has been shot exasperatingly. Agreed that Nagarjuna, Akhil are handsome heroes and ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ is a huge blockbuster, is there a necessity to repeatedly publicize them in their own movies. Now, please don’t call this as a feast for Fans. All in all, 'Nirmala Convent' appeared more like a Akkineni family self promotional program and less like Roshan's debut.
