Maruthi Effect On Raj Tharun!

There was a time when Maruthi made good money penning stories and scripts offering them to other producers (including those like Dil Raju who made ‘Rojulu Marayi’) but gone are those hey days. For example, producer Anil Sunkara is said to be have rejected a bound script sent by Maruthi for a project to be made with Raj Tharun as hero in debutant Sanjana Reddy direction tentatively titled as ‘Raju Gadu.’

If reports are to be believed, Anil kept ‘Raju Gadu’ on hold as he was completely unhappy with poorly written second half. This means, Anil Sunkara and Raj Tharun’s three movie agreement hasn’t come to a closure. Writer Veligonda Srinivas is heard to be the sure shot name to replace Sanjana Reddy as director but with a different story.

Post ‘Kumari 21 F,’ there is a complete slowdown in Raj Tharun’s pace. ‘Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sithralu’ is a declared failure while ‘Edo Rakam Ado Rakam’ hasn’t done much good for the young hero’s career. Missing a Maruthi script at this juncture can be a positive omen because we do know how Maruthi missed his mark in ‘Babu Bangaram’ too.
