Movie on 1983 World Cup Victory!

One of the proudest moments in Indian cricketing history is historic winning of 1983 World Cup. Cashing on emotional connectivity with patriotism and those crucial elements unifying us as a Nation has been explored in depth by current generation producers and directors. 1983 World Cup changed the perspective of Indians towards cricket and here is an attempt in the progress by Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) founder Vishnu Induri.

Yes, he is reportedly planning to produce a Hindi film made in 1983 World Cup backdrop. In fact, Cricket wasn’t so popular in our country before this win. India entered into the competition as an underdog but proved a tough nut to crack for strong opponents. This will be the movie’s theme, said a media source after talking to CCL authorities.

Vishnu Induri has been working on this script from last couple of years with a budget of Rs.90 Crores already allocated. He even spoke to individual team members of 1983 team to use their names as it is. As of now, the scripting is in final stages and once this is done, shooting is expected to kick start from November in UK, West Indies and India. Meanwhile, they are picking the artists.
