The Ap Secretariat Employees fell in a state of chaos after the Government had issued notices to shift all the Heads of Departments and Secretariat employees. June 27 has become the deadline for the employees to Amaravati. The AP employees, who have got settled in Hyderabad over the decades, are worrying for the shift to the core.

The AP government, on the other hand, failed to build Transitional Headquarters at Velagapudi on time. Even then, the government is insisting its employees to shift to Amaravati such that it has led to a state of deep melancholy to the employees. They have been offered many sops such as 5 days work per week, 30% HRA etc. Yet again, employees were frustrated that no clarity was given by the union government on local status. Moreover, each employee has to incur at least Rs.1 lakh for shifting which includes house rent advances, admitting children to new schools and collages etc.

According to political analysts, AP employees had done the biggest blunder which threw them to a state of bizarre. " The Ap Secretariat Employees unnecessarily supported then CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP's head Chandrababu Naidu during United Andhra movement. They called off strike only after 70 days which led to a loss of thousands of crores for AP. NGOs leaders like Ashok Babu dared to comment some great personalities in the guise of an activist of the movement. Finally, they voted for TDP in the general polls, 2014. With their utter dismay, CBN selected no man's land Amaravati as the capital of AP due to 'c' factors. Had AP employees not supported any political party during the movement, they wouldn't have faced any sort of difficulty now. Perhaps, they are paying price for their blunders now," says a political analyst.
