Balakrishna 100th Upper Hand Over Chiranjeevi 150th

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th film ‘Gauthamiputhra Satakarni’ and Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie ‘Kaththilantodu’ have been launched few days ago. The two largest pillars of Telugu cinema beginning to work on their respective milestone films made Mega and Nandamuri Fans jubilant. At the same time, there is a small discussion and debate going in film circles on which film can be declared as bigger and prestigious?

Balayya has a penchant to set new trends in Tollywood by experimenting on mythology, socio fantasy and even fiction based subjects. He took cultural significance of Satavahana dynasty and found the necessity of bringing the hidden historical glory of this kingdom before Telugu public. On any technical, budgetary, casting, artistic excellence or on the basis of any curious definite purpose, ‘Satakarni’ is a humongous product on par with ‘Bahubali’ standards.

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi’s ‘Kaththilantodu’ is a meager remake of Tamil hit ‘Kaththi’ based on a contemporary social issue dealt with commercial touch. Films in this genre are pretty common and alone the presence of Chiranjeevi should help in building the hype. Definitely, Balayya’s ‘Satakarni’ took upper hand over Chiranjeevi’s ‘Kaththilantodu’ in story and director selection. Agreed that relative comparisons between these two films belonging to two different genres isn't really correct but technically speaking, we need to appreciate Balayya Babu's adventure loving attitude.
