Prince Mahesh's fans were vibrant with the blockbuster success of 'Srimanthudu' last year. The movie collected a share of Rs.83 crores at the end of its full run world wide and stood as the second biggest grosser of Tollywood at the moment.
Although 'Srimanthudu' got remarkable victory at the box office, there are some critics who felt the movie has made use of the hiked ticket rates and so were the collections went upto 80+ crores. They also felt that a Telugu movie could have collected more than 100 crores with hiked ticket rates.
Are the critics authentic about their views? or do they just criticize the movie aiming at criticizing the collections of the movie? Interestingly, those critics will get a right answer for the allegations being made by them on 'SM' with 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh'. This movie too, is releasing in maximum centers with the same hike of ticket prices as 'Srimanthudu' did. Then the margin of collections range between 'SGS' and 'Srimanthudu' gives the clarity about exact range of a Telugu cinema. However, SGS should also get positive talk as 'Srimanthudu' to stay in competition. Post 'Srimanthudu's release, a few big films were released but were failed to live upto the expectaions and were out of competition.
