Is Damarukam Repeating For Akhil?

Quality visuals with zero error VFX have become the mandatory basic essentials for big films. When the case is with social fantasy or history backdrops and mythological setups, obviously the significance further grows us. From the times of Chiranjeevi ‘Anji’ to present ‘Akhil,’ we have seen some unavoidable situations wherein producers are left with no other alternative than to postpone the release in order to offer a quality product.

In the recent past, Gunasekhar ‘Rudhramadevi’ and Nagarjuna ‘Damarukam’ were best examples to quote. The affinity becomes close between ‘Damarukam’ and ‘Akhil’ because they two belong to same Akkineni family heroes. ‘Damarukam’ starring Nagarjuna directed by Srinivas Reddy although enjoyed average to above average reviews and collected decently at Box Office, those revenues weren’t enough due to exceeded budget resulted by continuous postponements.

Now, ‘Akhil’ release date postponed indefinitely for re-working on CGI and re-shoot of few scenes have led to indurate comparisons in media circles between ‘Damarukam’ and ‘Akhil.’ Apparently, the Akkineni scion launch pad project is also based on socio fantasy story factor which means the correlation is further justified. Hope, producers Nithin and Sudhakar Reddy are keeping the situation under their control.
