It appeared something like a Tsunami is going to strike when people of AP raised Samaikyandhra Movement exactly two years ago. The movement was intensified when AP NGOs kick started indefinite strike from 13th August, 2013. The movement was intended at Congress High Command to withdraw their decision of bifurcating the AP state. However, things could not go that smoother as expected in subsequent days. It finally went on disaster due to following reasons.
* Seemandhra Kendra Mantrulu (union ministers of Seemandhra) were only target of the agitators. Especially, one or two charismatic leaders turned out to be the target for agitators.
* A top news channel and other channels felt they were kingpins of the movement. They claimed Kendra Mantrulu were responsible for state division and slinged mud on those leaders. Opposition leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and others were ignored despite they had given consent letters for state's division.
* A top newspaper also felt itself as leader of the movement.
* The former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and AP NGO's leader Ashok Babu were projected something like heroes of Samaikyandhra Movement and were given great publicity. Naturally, people got inspired by them and praised those leaders to the core. As a matter of fact, Kiran Kumar Reddy knew about state's division long ago and Ashok Babu was rumoured to be working as per the directions of the former CM. Interestingly, both these leaders are seen nowhere these days and the public appeared to have forgotten them.
* Caste factors, media's over enthusiasm leading to unnecessary involvement, targeting on only few leaders and ignoring the real conspirators of state division are the instant reasons for failure of a big movement in Andhra.
