As we know, the first year B.Arch student Rishiteswari's suicide in her room on July 14 in Acharya Nagarjuna University hostel created tremors with a big demand for a probe from all corners in the circumstances that led to the extreme step.
Having paid heed to the demands by various sections of people, the State Government has finally constituted a high-level committee to inquire in the suicide. But then, is that enough justice done to an innocent student who was brutally ragged by her co-students and killed herself to avoid much humiliation? Certainly not.
The government's action on Rishiteswari's suicide is said have no good done to the party and it sends the feelers that the party supports particular group of people in the University. Some of the students who belonged to particular group were alleged to be responsible for the death of Rishiteswari. The government's decision of declaring holidays all of a sudden, simple suspension on vice principal and the CM's negligence in commenting on the incident were criticized by the opposition parties. Wish that the government should take all the necessary care doing justice to Rishiteswari in finding out the criminals soon in such a way the government will be praised by all to the core on this issue for its transparency.
