Everyone knows that politicians will not do anything if there is no gain. If they are sure of political mileage, they will go to any extent, twist laws, and get the job done. If not they will put the matter on a  backburner. They always follow quid pro quo and even Pm Modi is no exception. Many are of the opinion that Pm Modi stands exposed on various fronts though his supporters claim that he put India on the international radar and is the most revered leader across the world.

Recently the Morbi bridge collapse in Gujarat exposed Modi's double standards. He expressed his condolences and ensured that the guilty would be booked. But the same Modi, during elections in West Bengal, when a similar incident happened, went hammer and tongs and demanded people to throw CM Mamata Bannerjee into the Bay of Bengal. Why didn't he demand the same and ask the people of Gujarat to throw the Gujarat government out during the election year?

Even in the case of special status to Andhra Pradesh, during Amaravati capital formation, he came with Ganga water and soil and drew mileage and promised many things like Railway Zone to Visakhapatnam, etc. But he went back on his words and used an excuse not to accord special status to the state of Andhra Pradesh. Pm Modi used the excuse The 14th Finance Commission did away with the distinction between general and special category states. As such special status will be confined to only J&K, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

However, the same Pm Modi during the elections promised special status to other states like Puducherry, Bihar, etc. This shows if Modi, Amit Shah, and BJP see political mileage then they will revive special status to AP, or else they will come up with lame excuses and shed crocodile tears that it was the fault of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and go back to history and blame Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.

The other parties are also not saints. Rahul Gandhi is promising special status to AP, TRS chief KCR also promising special status to many states, and TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu, and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan also took up the special status to Andhra Pradesh. In fact, Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to bring special status to Andhra Pradesh if voted to power and now expressing his inability. But none of them can beat shameless Modi in shedding crocodile tears.
