Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday met President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi and sought his immediate intervention on disqualification of YSRC MLAs who were inducted into the state Cabinet by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

During his meeting with the President, Jagan complained that it was unethical to make defected MLAs ministers without them resigning the post they got from their parent party.  Speaking to the media after meeting the President, Jagan said, "Chandrababu Naidu gave ministries to YSRCP turncoats even through defection cases are still pending against them. If this is allowed, then democratic values would be imperiled. TDP is deeply corrupt and that it is using the corrupt money to buy off MLAs. This has been proved in the case of Cash For Vote scam."

Jagan further said that he would meet all the leaders who could influence the ruling BJP at the centre and try to convince them about the "unethical practices" of the TDP Government.

Party MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Vijaya Sai Reddy, Vara Prasad, YS Avinash Reddy and MLA Raghupati accompanied Jagan.
