All the six candidates for Rajya Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been declared elected unopposed.

While TRS senior leaders Dharmapuri Srinivas and Capt Lakshmikantha Rao were elected unopposed from Telangana, Union Ministers Suresh Prabhu (BJP) and Y.S. Chowdhary (TDP), TG Venkatesh (TDP) and V. Vijaya Sai Reddy (YSRCP) were elected from Andhra Pradesh.

Except Vijaya Sai Reddy, remaining five candidates have collected the certificate of their election from the Returning Officers.

The elections in Andhra Pradesh became unanimous following the withdrawal of candidature by Vijay Sai Reddy's wife V. Sunanda Reddy. She had filed her nomination as YSRCP candidate as a precaution as her husband had some suspicion over the acceptance of his candidature following pending cases against him.
