All six candidates, who filed their nomination papers for Rajya Sabha seats from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, are all set to get elected unopposed.
According to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal, all six nominations, for four seats in AP and two seats in Telangana, were found to be valid during scrutiny held on Wednesday. However, he said that the results would be declared only on June 3 at 3 PM, after the end of deadline for withdrawal of nomination.
Therefore, TRS candidates Dharmapuri Srinivas and Capt. Lakshmikantha Rao from Telangana and TDP candidates Y.S. Chowdhary and T.G. Venkatesh of TDP, BJP candidate and Union Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu and YSRCP candidate V. Vijaya Sai Reddy are all set to get elected to Rajya Sabha unanimously.
