TDP MLA, Cong MLC joins TRS

The Telugu Desam Party and Congress got a major shock on Thursday with both the parties losing one legislator each to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Tdp Mla from Secunerabad Cantonment G. Saianna and Congerss MLC M.S. Prabhakar joined the TRS after having a meeting with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at his camp office on Thursday morning. Speaking to media persons later, Saianna said that he was very much influenced with KCR's vision for development of Telangana, especially Hyderabad. He said growth in Telangana could be achieved only by strengthening TRS and KCR leadership.

Justifying his exit from Congress, Prabhakar said that several senior leaders were not being given due importance in the party and it had lost its direction. He said he got inclined towards TRS as KCR was seriously working to develop Hyderabad as a global city. He hoped that the TRS would win the GHMC elections with a thumping majority.
