Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday sanctioned Rs. 5 lakh to Pratyusha and offered her complete assistance in her education and treatment.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had met Pratyusha, who was tortured by her step-mother Shyamala and father Ramesh and rescued by Child Rights Protection Society and the LB Nagar police on July 8, in the hospital offering help. She was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday morning and was produced before the High Court. The Chief Justice interacted with Pratyusha for about 25 minutes and directed the police to take her to the Chief Minister's residence.
Pratyusha was received by the Chief Minister and his wife Shoba at their residence. Later, Kcr, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and others had lunch with Pratyusha on the same table. Kcr advised her to be brave and concentrate on her future. While sanctioning Rs. 5 lakh, Kcr directed the officials to ensure that Pratyusha gets proper accommodation in a hostel and continue her education. He also shared his numbers and asked her to visit him home as and when she likes.
