CBN forced to delay nominees due to internal squabbles. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is facing internal disputes and potential candidate replacements in several constituencies, even as the process of filing election nominations has commenced in the state. This internal strife poses challenges for the TDP-led alliance with Jana Sena and BJP in the upcoming elections.

Seat-Sharing Agreement and Discontent:

Alliance and seat allocation: The TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP formed a pre-poll alliance, dividing the 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats amongst themselves. However, this arrangement has led to dissatisfaction among TDP members who feel their interests have been compromised.

Sacrifices and resentment: Several TDP hopefuls have had to relinquish their aspirations for certain constituencies due to the seat-sharing agreement, creating resentment within the party.

Proposed Candidate Replacements:

Madugula (Anakapalli Lok Sabha): Despite the official announcement of Pyla Prasad as the TDP candidate, there are proposals to replace him with Bandaru Satyanarayana.

Anaparthy Assembly: Discussions are underway to replace BJP's nominee M. Shiva Krishnam Raju with TDP's Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy.

Denduluru Assembly: A proposal suggests replacing TDP's official nominee Chinthamaneni Prabhakar with BJP candidate Garapati Seetaramanjaneya Chowdary.

Undi Assembly: The constituency faces a complex situation with multiple contenders, including sitting MLA Manthena Rama Raju (TDP), former MLA Vetukuri Venkata Siva Rama Raju (potentially independent), and K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju (recently joined TDP).

Impact and Concerns:

Internal divisions and instability: The proposed candidate replacements and ongoing disputes highlight internal divisions within the TDP, potentially impacting the party's stability and campaign effectiveness.

Uncertainty and confusion: Last-minute changes and uncertainty surrounding candidate selection could create confusion among party workers and voters.

Fear of further changes: Some of the newly accommodated candidates hesitate to actively campaign due to the fear of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
