Sonam Kapoor who is on a sabbatical after marrying Anand Ahuja and becoming a mother is back to the movies. She will be seen in a leading role four years after The Zoya Factor, which was a romantic comedy in which she starred opposite Dulquer Salmaan. She will next be seen in Blind, a police who is blind and in search of a serial killer. Makers revealed the teaser.
The 40-second teaser, released by the makers on Tuesday, shows Sonam getting into a taxi driven by a serial killer. After grappling with the taxi driver-serial killer, she somehow manages to save herself and register her statement at a police station. Her statement opens an investigation that starts a cat-and-mouse chase between Gia and the serial killer (played by Purab Kohli).
Blind is an adaptation of the 2011 Korean film of the same name. It also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey. The film has been extensively shot in Glasgow, Scotland. It will premiere on Jio Cinema on July 7.
Sonam Kapoor took a break from movies when she relocated to London in the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. After The Zoya Factor in 2019, she's only appeared for a cameo in Vikramaditya Motwane's thriller Ak vs Ak, also starring her father Anil Kapoor, brother Harshvardhan Kapoor, and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The film premiered on Netflix India in December 2020.
