Sunil Lahiri on Sunny SIngh in Adipurush. Prabhas,Kriti Sanon's Adi Purush is releasing on 16 June 2023. The film is generating immense interest among movie lovers as it is based on the Hindu epic Ramayan. The film happens to be Prabhas' first mythological film and also his first straight Bollywood project.

Adi Purush is directed by award-winning director Om Raut and Sunny Singh is playing the role of Lakshman while Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of Ravan in the film. People cannot forget Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan serial which created a sensation on the small screen. The serial starred Arun Govil, Deepika Chikalia, and Sunil Lahiri in the lead roles while Arvind Trivedi played the role of Ravan. They immortalized the roles.

Now Sunil Lahiri who played the role of Lakshman in Ramayan, speaking to scribes shared his thoughts on Sunny Singh playing the role of Lakshman in Adipurush. He said, "At this stage, it is very difficult to say anything because there is hardly anything shown of Lakshman's character in the trailer, but I am sure Sunny is a good actor and he must have done justice to the role since he also has previous references of the character.”

He added, “Any good performance by an actor depends on how his character is created by the makers, including the writer, director, cinematographer, and editor." He continued "When I was shooting for Ramayan, I didn't have any reference from the past for the character of Lakshman, and whatever little I have managed to do, it is because of the guidance of Sagar Saab (Ramanand Sagar). The credit goes to him and the writers of the television series. I really wish great success to Adipurush as well as Sunny Singh and the rest of the cast."
