This Sankranthi is once again witnessing the clash of Titans in Tollywood. Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy are releasing this Pongal. The last time both stars clashed was in 2017 for Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni. The seniors enjoy huge stardom and have immeasurable fan following. The promotions for both films are in full swing and in the coming days the entire Telugu states will be completely clouded with the songs, posters and promotional content of these films.
Veera Simha Reddy is releasing on 12th January while Waltair Veerayya on 13th January. As the release dates are nearing, the dates and venues for pre release events have been locked by the makers. Both the films are going for events in open ground amidst fans. It is already known that Veera Simha Reddy Pre release event will be held at Ongole on 6th January. As it is homeplace for its director Gopichand Malineni, it is opted for the function. Now, Waltair Veerayya event will take place on 8th January at Vizag. Reason behind choosing this venue is the film runs with Vizag backdrop where Chiranjeevi plays a fisherman at Visakhapatnam port.
As both the events are going to take place at open venues, the atmosphere will be electrifying with huge fan gatherings. Both the films are bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and Sruthi Haasan is playing as female lead in both films. Bobby is the director for Waltair Veerayya. The songs composed by Thaman for Balayya and Devi Sri Prasad for Chiru are already playing loud in both Telugu states.
