Director Puri Jagannadh wrote a character for Narayana Murthy in NTR's Temper. He wrote the role keeping only Narayana Murthy in his mind which reflects his honest persona. Narayana Murthy also loved the conviction of the character but he denied that if he did that role, many roles might follow his way and drag him to mainstream commercial cinema which doesn't serve his purpose. So, he chose to stay away and continues doing his own films. Puri tried very hard to get Narayana Murthy onboard for Temper and even offered Rs 1 Crore as remuneration for his role after a whole night of discussion at NTR's house. But, Narayana Murthy thanked them for their hospitality  offering him such a noble role and left in an auto along with his principles. Puri named that role after 'Murthy Garu' in Temper later played by Posani Krishna Murali.

CineJosh wishing this selfless, honest and one of a kind filmmaker, Narayana Murthy Garu a very happy Birthday.
