Highest grossing indian movies of 2022

Nowadays a film grossing Rs100crs is becoming a common phenomenon as many filmmakers are targeting the pan-India market. Even regional films with strong content are grossing Rs 100crs very easily. Rajamouli's RRR grossed Rs 1100crs to turn out to be the biggest hit in the country. Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata also entered into the 100crs club very easily but the film turned out to be a routine entertainer. Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak, the remake of Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyam grossed Rs 100crs riding on the stamina and craze of Pawan Kalyan.

Prabhas's Radhe Shyam turned out to be the biggest disaster but it easily crossed Rs 100crs at the box office proving Prabhas' stardom. Nikhil's Karthikeya 2 turned out to be a sensation grossing Rs 100crs much to the surprise of all. Chiranjeevi's Godfather also grossed Rs 100crs though the overall result disappointed many.

Bollywood has been at the receiving end after the covid pandemic and it has been reeling under a string of flops. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra entered into the Rs 100crs club. Ahead of it, The Kashmir Files with low expectations stunned all by collecting more than Rs 100crs. Drishyam 2, a remake of the Malayalam hit also surprised all by grossing more than 100crs. Bhool Bhuliya 2, Alia Bhatt's Gangubhai Kathiavadi, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan's Vikram Veda, Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chadda, Jug Jug Jiyo all entered into Rs 100crs club but all ended as a disappointment.

Kollywood witnessed Maniratnam's magic with his dream project Ponniyin Selvan 1 grossed Rs 100crs. Earlier Kamal Hasan's Vikram grossed Rs 100crs and created a sensation at the box office. Vijay's Beast though got a disappointing talk and grossed Rs 100crs. Siva Karthikeyan's Don collected Rs100crs and Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam, and Ajith's Valimai also entered into the Rs100crs club.

Sandalwood created a sensation with KGF Chapter 2 which erased Rs100crs easily. Kantara which was released without any hype grossed more than Rs 100crs leaving everyone shocked. Sudeep's Vikrant Rona grossed Rs 100crs and the same is the case with Rohit Shetty's 777 Charlie, Puneet Rajkumar's James also grossed Rs 100crs.
