Rajamouli's Baahubali and Prashant Neel's KGF franchisees revolutionalized filmmaking in India. The sensational success of both films inspired many other filmmakers and producers across the country to dream big and come up with high-budget films.
In the midst of all this, the comparisons between Baahubali and KGF in their collections are revealing shocking facts. Star producer Dil Raju, speaking to scribes, threw more light on the collections of both films.
He said Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2 were made with a huge budget of over Rs 600crs and added that Baahubali 1 got negative reviews and it affected its collections. He said thanks to the tremendous success of Baahubali 2, the makers made extravagant profits.
He said this was not the case with KGF 1 and KGF2. He added that the KGF makers learned the lesson from their Baahubali counterparts and invested a minimum budget and so even from the first part KGF1 they entered into the profit zone and with KGF2 they minted a goldmine.
