Kamal Haasan set many trends on the Indian silver screen and he is the first to don many experimental roles and starred in numerous films having different shades that took his acting prowess to new heights. His film Pushpaka Vimanam, the other day completed 35 years and on the occasion, Kamal Haasan came up with a memorable message and shared his heartfelt feelings.
In his message, he shared 'Though, among all my directors, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is elder, at his heart, he is the youngest. Our experimental film Pushpaka Vinanam completed 35 years and it is now elder to both of us. Singeetam Srinivasa Rao Garu our art and creativity should be always novel. We shouldn't relate it to age. The most liked sangeetam and music is your smile'.
Pushpaka Vimanam had no dialogues and it released in 1987 in various Indian languages across the country and won critical acclaim and tasted commercial success. The film won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment as a Kannada-language entry and in three categories at the 35th Filmfare Awards South in the Kannada branch: Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor.
