India's 3rd Highest Costliest Film On OTT

Brahmastra - Part One, the first instalment in Astraverse got released in September and opened to huge numbers at the ticket windows. The huge publicity and craze made the film one of the biggest openers in recent times. But, as the content is not up to the expectations, Brahmastra manages to settle down as above average at the box office. This Ayan Mukherjee directorial has real-life couple Ranbir and Alia in lead roles. It also has Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna in other important roles. Shahrukh Khan did a special role in the film.

Brahmastra is made with a whopping Rs 400 crores budget making it the third costliest film made in India. RRR with a 550 Crores budget and 2.0 with 500 Crores stand at the first and second places respectively. Brahmastra ended up collecting close to 450 crores worldwide including all languages. Now the film has made its OTT debut on Disney plus Hotstar. Though there is some response regarding the VFX of the film, the audience seems not to show the expected response in watching the film. There is no major sound in social media about the film even a day is gone after its entry into OTT. 

Usually, if any big film hits OTT social media is abuzz with its short reviews, pics of TVs where people watch them and discussions about its merits and demerits. But, that's not the case for Brahmastra. Even there isn't much response from Bollywood too. Let's wait and watch if it catches up steam towards the weekend.
