Maniratnam's dream project Ponniyin Selvan hit the screens today amidst huge expectations. The film which has a star-studded cast got tremendous reviews and good openings in Kollywood but in other languages, it got the mixed talk. Especially Tollywood viewers started comparing with Rajamouli's Baahubali, though it is unfair as Ponniyin Selvan is a historical entertainer while Baahubali is folklore.
Telugu viewers got confused with the names of Chola Kings especially the character played by Vikram. Vikram played the role of Aditya Karikalan. Many who drew comparisons with Baahubali, started pronouncing the name of Karikalan as Kaalakeya of Baahubali.
It is known that Prabhakar played Kaalakeya king Inkoshi and he appeared for a few minutes and surprised all with his Kaalakeya language. The funny language was penned by Mandan Karkey. The language became so popular that Madan Karky created a script and singer Sunitha came up with the Kalakeya song.
