Vijay Devarakonda's Liger, his Bollywood debut film which released amidst huge expectations got a shocking disastrous talk right from the premiers. Most of the blame is falling on Puri Jagannath and then on Vijay Devarakonda for blindly trusting him. The way the makers insulted boxing legend Mike Tyson did not go down well with the movie lovers.
In the midst of all this, in an ultimate insult, Mike Tyson did not even remember that he starred in a film called Liger. When his friends asked him in a show about Liger and his entry in Bollywood, he questioned what was it and reacted only after reminding him multiple times. He said with one puch he can knock down anyone. Here is the conversation. . “I heard you are getting into comedy movies again?” asks the friend. “I don’t know,” a dazed looking Tyson answers. “Tell me about it, read it back to me.”
To the top of it, popular site IMDB which rates the movies gave a shocking 1.6 rating for Liger which is rubbing salt on the wounds. This is far less than the disasters like Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan to name a few.
