'Major' Filmmaker Father Dies!

Filmmaker Sashi Kiran Tikka’s father Suryanarayana Tikka has passed away on Monday. He breathed his last in Rajahmundry. The reason behind his detah is not knonw but it is learnt that the demise was sudden and has come to shock to the filmmaker and his team as well. Adivi Sesh has offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Taking to Twitter, Sesh wrote, “The entire team of MAJOR is devastated. Our director @SashiTikka father passed last night.  Very very sudden”. Sashi Kiran Tikka is currently helming pan-Indian project Major which is based on the life of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, NGO who got martyred during 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Sashi proved his worthiness as filmmaker with 2018 thriller Goodachari. Before that he has worked as an assistant director to Sekhar Kammula’s Leader. He had also spoken about struggle sin industry before he made it big in the industry.

Speaking about the struggles he said after Leader and Goodachari he had seven year back. During the gap he had worked on numerous skirts and pitched in many projects to heroes and producers. While some started but had unfortunately got halted in the pre-production stage, He says that struggles are part and parcels in any field and even Rajamouli would have had his own share.
